Amber Fort, Jaipur

Amer fort or Amber Fort is a fort located in Amer,Rajasthan,India.Amer is a town with an area of 4 square kilometres(1.5MI).
Located 11 kilometres(6.8MI)
From jaipur,the capital of Rajasthan.Located high an a hill it is the principal to tourist attraction in the Jaiput area.The town of Amer was originally built by Meenas,and later it was ruled by (Raja Man Singh 1)
(December 21,1550-July 6,1614).

*Amber,or Amer devives its name from the Ambikeshwar Temple,built a top the Cheel Ka Teela, Amnikashwara is a local name for the good Shiva.However,local folklore suggests that the fort derivez its name from Amba the mother Goddess Durga.

At the entrance to the place near the fort's Ganesh Gate,there is a temple dedicated to(Shila Devi)a goddess of the chitanya cult,which was given to Raja Man Singh when he defeated the Raja of Jessore,Bengal,in 1604(Jessore is now in Bangladesh).
